Fried Kunning Fish

Ingredients:

  • 450g fresh kunning fish, cleaned and gutted
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges for serving
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish:

    • Thaw the kunning fish if frozen. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the Fish:

    • In a small bowl, mix turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning all over the fish.
  3. Heat the Pan:

    • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the Fish:

    • Place the fish in the skillet and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Serve:

    • Transfer the fish to a serving plate. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh parsley. Serve hot.
