Grilled Marinated Half Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 half chicken (600g), thawed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Thaw the half chicken in the refrigerator overnight or under cold water. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
  2. Make the Marinade:

    • In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Marinate the Chicken:

    • Place the chicken in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well-coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Grill the Chicken:

    • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it on the grill, skin-side down. Grill for 15-20 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Serve:

    • Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before carving. Serve with your choice of sides.
