Grilled Whole Squid

Ingredients:

  • 500g fresh whole squid, cleaned
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Squid:

    • Thaw the squid in the refrigerator overnight or under cold water if frozen. Rinse thoroughly under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Marinate the Squid:

    • In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Coat the squid with the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Grill the Squid:

    • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the squid for 2-3 minutes on each side, until slightly charred and tender.
  4. Serve:

    • Transfer the grilled squid to a serving plate and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
    • Serve with a side of fresh salad or steamed vegetables.
