Ingredients:

  • 300g cooked silver fish, thawed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup cornflour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cold water, 1 egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying, lemon wedges to serve

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour, cornflour, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk cold water and egg; combine to form smooth batter.
  2. Heat oil in deep skillet over medium-high. Dip silver fish into batter and fry in batches 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
